NO The action aims to implement SCP practices and green certificationschemes in agri-food small entities of SA. The project aims todevelop more sustainable consumption and production patternsin the agricultural sector in South Africa by engaging in transitiontowards a green economy, promoting resource and energy efficiency.The project will focus mainly on the agrifood small holders sectordue to their economic importance andpotential for improvement inenvironmental, social and economic issues. Likewise, a number ofmarket and non-market based mechanism shall be used to provideincentives to invest in sustainable practices for farmers and to gobeyond short term survival strategies. The project will work with30 small farmers in Limpopo on managing natural resources andirrigation and strengthening environmental efficiency.
