Pachamama is an Inca word that means much more than 'Mother Earth'. It suggests a lifestyle in harmony with nature - one the young authors of this book are passionate to promote to the wider world. Pachamama echoes the famous words reportedly spoken by Chief Seattle: "The Earth is our mother. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons and daughters of the Earth. This we know. We did not weave the web of life, We are merely a strand in it. Whatever we do to the web we do to ourselves"
