NO UNEP is releasing a new COP30 Factsheet Series exploring the most critical adaptation and mitigation themes shaping today’s global climate agenda. The series equips readers with clear, accessible insights into the debates, decisions, and expected outcomes across priority themes. This factsheet focuses on Integrated Energy Systems. The agreed global goals of tripling renewable energy capacity by 2030 and doubling the annual rate of energy efficiency improvement will only deliver results if countries can effectively integrate and use the clean power they generate. Through integrated energy systems, countries can transform demand into an asset for renewable integration.
