NO This report is a terminal evaluation of a UN Environment-GEF project implemented between 2015 and 2016. The project responds to the mandate of UN Environment Chemical & Waste Branch in providing support to Parties to the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) to implement their obligations towards unintentional POPs (Stockholm Convention). The project was designed as a continuation of the established cooperation between UN Environment´s Chemicals & Waste and the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions (BRS) Secretariat. The evaluation sought to assess project performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability. The evaluation has two primary purposes: (i) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements, and (ii) to promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UN Environment and the relevant agencies of the project’s participating countries.
