It covers the period from 1 January to 31 March 2018 and is structured in three sections reflecting the organization’s strategic and operational priorities. The first section highlights significant global and regional developments, including engagement in major international forums, policy processes and partnerships that shape the environmental agenda. The second section presents programmatic updates across the organization’s subprogrammes, outlining progress towards expected accomplishments, implementation of Environment Assembly resolutions, as well as key challenges, risks and emerging opportunities. The third section reviews the financial status, including income, allocations and expenditures, and provides an overview of human resources, audits and evaluations, thereby outlining the institutional and management context supporting delivery of the Programme of Work for the 2018–2019 biennium.
