It describes a project designed to reduce the impacts of natural disasters, climate change, and sea-level rise while promoting the sustainable development of coastal areas through spatial planning. The report outlines the national context, project methodology, consultations, capacity-building activities, training workshops, implementation achievements, expenditures, lessons learned, and recommendations. It also documents the development of national guidance materials, training programmes, and six draft provincial coastal spatial plans to strengthen coastal management and decision-making.
