These regional procedures are intended to further the implementation of those instruments to respond efficiently in the event of an oil spill. These non-binding procedures are intended to complement the above referenced documents, but in addition include amplifying information regarding offshore response issues and more detailed operational aspects for joint responses where participating countries’ interests could be impacted by an oil spill.
