NO This fact sheet outlines how organic agriculture can support greener economic development in Moldova by expanding trade with the European Union while improving environmental sustainability. Moldova offers strong export opportunities through its genetically modified organism-free status, favourable climate, and production of organic cereals, oilseeds, fruits, honey, herbs, and nuts that match European Union demand. However, export bans and strict European Union quality standards remain key challenges. Strengthening agricultural cooperatives, certification systems, and product traceability can improve credibility, expand market access, and increase export competitiveness.
