NO This document presents a joint intervention by Action et Education Pour Tous and Bridgers Association Cameroon at INC-1 (28 Nov–2 Dec 2022, Punta del Este and online), urging a plastics treaty grounded in prior UNEA and expert group work and aligned with SDG 12’s One Planet Network. It recommends tax-free incentives for biodegradable plastics, strengthened packaging research and design, expanded recycling centers, routine cleaning of waterways and beaches, responsible use, and integrated waste-management awareness. It further calls for education-driven innovation plus proportional pollution taxes across the value chain, promotion of One Health, producer compliance with UN Global Compact principles, prioritized circular-economy actions, designation of 28 November as an International Day of Plastics Pollution Reduction, and reinforcement of the Congo Basin Blue Fund.
