NO This report presents information on the status, policies, regulations and actions (including master plan) in the Asia and Africa for sanitation (wastewater) management. Recently, it has been estimated that more than half of the world population live in Asia and Africa. In these regions, sanitation (wastewater) management including wastewater treatment (WWT) facilities (sewer lines and sewage treatment plants) is one of the major health hazard sources in most of the urban and rural areas. Water quality is deteriorating in many places because of the lack of access to improved sanitation. Some cities in the developing world treat only 10 % of their sewage, while some 2.4 billion people do not have adequate sanitation. As a result, many people are facing enormous health crises and subsequently about 6,000 children die everyday.
