NO The Africa Environment Information Network (AEIN) initiative is designed to support the Africa Environment Outlook (AEO) process. Among other things, the initiative aims to strengthen organizational networking and capacities related to the management of data and information for the environmental assessment and reporting in the Africa region. A specific short-term objective is to support the implementation of decisions of AMCEN with respect to the AEO preparation process, while strengthening capacity for state of environment (SoE) reporting at the national and sub-regional levels. The UNEP Division of Early Warning and Assessment (DEWA) is coordinating the technical implementation of AEIN.
