NO This strategy outlines the 2018–2023 medium-term direction for the Northwest Pacific Action Plan to strengthen regional cooperation for protecting and sustainably managing the marine and coastal environment. It establishes a framework to support implementation of ocean-related Sustainable Development Goals through evidence-based decision-making, ecosystem-based management, and strengthened partnerships. The document identifies four priority areas: integrated coastal and river basin management, assessment of the marine and coastal environment, prevention and reduction of land- and sea-based pollution, and conservation of marine and coastal biodiversity. It also describes implementation arrangements, monitoring and evaluation processes, expected outcomes, and alignment with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
