NO This directory is intended to assist in building foundations for continuing environmental education and public awareness programmes in the region, thus providing the support needed for the satisfactory implementation of the Caribbean Action Plan adopted under UNEP sponsorship in Montego Bay, Jamaica (6-8 April 1981) * and the subsequently signed Convention for the Protection and Development of the Marine Environment of the Wider Caribbean Region (Cartagena de Indias, Colombia 21-24 March 1983).
