NO The purpose of this booklet: The Basel Convention.- A Global Solution for Controlling Hazardous Wastes is to promote knowledge about the implementation of the Basel Convention. Furthermore one of the main functions of the Secretariat of the Basel Convention is also to collect and disseminate information on environmental sound management, on control of transboundary movement and disposal of hazardous wastes.
