NO This concept note outlines a proposed corporate commitment to scale carbon removal in order to help limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, drawing on scientific findings that both rapid emission reductions and large-scale atmospheric carbon removal are required. It explains that substantial cumulative carbon dioxide removal will be necessary during the twenty-first century and that both natural and technological approaches must be mobilised at unprecedented scale. The document invites companies across sectors and geographies to measure and manage carbon removal within value chains, collaborate to overcome barriers, invest in solutions, and advocate supportive public policy.
