It aims to increase knowledge and awareness of urban and peri-urban agriculture’s contribution to sustainable food systems and to support investment in multi-stakeholder collaboration across sectors and levels of government. The brief is informed by a review of literature and existing regulations, discussions with staff at Kampala Capital City Authority, a multi-stakeholder consultation with urban and peri-urban agriculture actors in Kampala, and analysis of input from members of Food Rights Alliance.
