NO ‘A Roadmap for Sustainable Waste Management and Resource Circulation in South Asia, 2019-2030’ report facilitates integration of the global waste management goals and priorities into the regional and national development planning and policy formulation. It identifies key priority areas/ goals for the sub-region, set measurable targets, develop actions, identify financing options, technical innovations, partnership and monitoring and reporting mechanisms. Regional and sub-regional political frameworks have a high potential in facilitating the effective translation of the global waste management goals into practical policies and concrete actions at national and local levels through providing a platform for policy dialogue, where common agenda are set, follow-up mechanism developed, and progress reviewed.
