NO This document presents Algeria’s intervention at UNEP’s 9th Annual Subcommittee Meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (24–28 October 2022) under agenda item 4 on implementing the 2022–2023 programme of work. It acknowledges UNEP’s efforts in Africa, urges tailored responses to desertification, land degradation, technology access, and capacity building, and reports Algeria’s Parliamentary Network on Climate and Environment promoting “Green Parliament” practices. It references the AU 2022–2032 climate strategy and requests clearer UNEP–AU coordination, better visibility for North Africa, and confirmation of country focal points for UNSDCFs. It also questions a proposal to consolidate member-state contributions into one invoice.
