NO This training resource package provides material for teachers and trainers addressing industrial accident prevention and preparedness. It introduces the organisation of interactive training activities and presents selected notes on accident prevention, hazard identification, emergency planning, risk communication and international approaches. The package includes material on the Awareness and Preparedness for Emergencies at Local Level process, including its objectives, partners, responsibilities, coordination mechanisms and emergency response planning. It combines background information with case studies, exercises, transparencies, reference material and guidance for trainers and self-study. The material draws on workshop experience and provides practical resources for developing training on industrial safety, accident preparedness and response, with emphasis on cooperation between industry, government and local communities.
