NO The purpose of this book is to provide a compilation of methodologies that are currently in use, or have been used, in laboratories that provide water quality data and information to both GEMS/Water and IAEA. Part A provides an overview of more than 380 analytical methods codes for over 100 parameters. Each entry includes the GEMS/Water method code, the parameter name, a brief method description, method name, measurement units, the number of decimal places reported in the GEMS/Water database, and, where available, a method detection limit, the name of the requesting agency, and a literature reference. The specific methodologies provided for each parameter are not designed to replace or revise methodological protocols that are being used in laboratories.
