It draws primarily on documents prepared for earlier sessions of the ad hoc open-ended working group and refers to existing procedures of selected science-policy bodies, particularly the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
