NO This report describes the 2023 activities and progress of the Playing for the Planet Alliance in advancing environmental action across the video games industry. It outlines the Alliance’s objectives, governance developments, membership growth, collaborative initiatives and implementation of programmes including the Green Game Jam, while reporting on members’ environmental commitments and progress towards reducing carbon emissions. The report presents achievements in research, community engagement, decarbonisation, sustainable events and industry collaboration, identifies continuing challenges in measuring and reducing indirect emissions, and summarises priorities for 2024, including strengthening accountability, expanding research partnerships, improving governance and supporting members in translating environmental commitments into measurable action.
