NO Just as important, we need to relate all our work to people whose health, livelihoods and prosperity we are trying to safeguard. I grew up in South Africa and still remember how Nelson Mandela, when he came out of prison and addressed us in the Academy of Science in the early 1990s, urged us to “put a face to science!” Can we ‘put a face’ to ozone layer protection?
