RT null T1 Environmental Assessment of Ozone Layer Depletion and its Impact as of April 1984: Bulletin No.9 January 1985 A1 United Nations Environment Programme, K1 ozone layer K1 ozone-depleting substance K1 environmental impact assessment K1 chlorofluorocarbon K1 chemical K1 environmental protection YR 1985 FD 1985-01 LK https://wedocs.unep.org/handle/20.500.11822/29031 UL https://wedocs.unep.org/handle/20.500.11822/29031 NO Bulletin No. 9 shows an important change from previous issues. Its new title, "Envirorxnental Assessment of ozone layer modification and its impact", reflects the uncertainty that exists with respect to future budgets of trace gases with the potential to modify the ozone layer. Aitnough the chemistry and physics of the atmospheric processes which control ozone are now better understood than ever before, the ability to predict accurately future atmospheric concentrations of chlorine species, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and other oxides of nitrogen has not yet been achieved.
