NO This report is a terminal evaluation of a UNEP-GEF project implemented between 2011 and 2015. The Project objective is that “Albania has a workable and transparent National Biosafety Framework, in line with its national development priorities and international obligations”. The Project sought to contribute to the elaboration of the specific provisions on Biosafety contained in the national Law on Environment Protection and to specifically address the deliberate release of GMOs into the environment by a Government Decree. The Terminal Evaluation was undertaken upon completion of the Project to assess project performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability.
