NO This document summarizes a set of West Africa projects implemented under the African Elephant Action Plan, organized by country and year, and focused on reducing illegal ivory trade, mitigating human–elephant conflict, and strengthening elephant protection. It describes studies of ivory commercialization channels across multiple countries to inform national and joint strategic action plans, alongside awareness-raising campaigns and cross-border cooperation initiatives in the W Reserve. Several projects emphasize capacity building for law enforcement and ranger patrols, including training, equipment provision, and use of SMART-based patrol systems, as well as monitoring approaches such as radio collars and satellite collars.
