NO This document briefs AMCEN on the African Circular Economy Alliance’s origins, governance, partners, strategy, and recent activities, and outlines preparations for the World Circular Economy Forum 2022. It describes ACEA as a convening platform launched by African governments to support circular economy transitions through policy support, awareness, collaboration, and project financing. It reports establishment of a secretariat hosted by the African Development Bank, strategy development informed by continent-wide market research, and identification of five priority opportunity areas: food systems, packaging, built environment, fashion, and electronics. It summarizes progress and calls for additional country membership and participation in WCEF2022 in Kigali.
