In 2015 electricity production was 38 ktoe, 97.3 percent fossil, with 33 ktoe consumed. Renewables accounted for 80.4 percent of final energy in 2012, dominated by traditional biofuels; renewable electricity was 0.6 percent. Access to electricity reached 36.1 percent overall in 2012, with full urban access but only 12 percent in rural areas. Reported energy intensity was 4.6 MJ per 2005 PPP dollar.
