NO This paper deals with the semi-and region of Brazil. About 12 % of Brazil's surface is semi-arid land. It is mostly covered with tree and shrub vegetation, called "Caatinga", and located in the Northeast of the country, an area of nearly one million square kilometers and a population of 17 million.
