NO This is the second EPR of Azerbaijan to be published by UNECE. The review takes stock of the progress made by Azerbaijan in the management of its environment since the country was first reviewed in 2003. It assesses the implementation of the recommendations contained in the first review (Annex I-B). This second EPR also covers nine issues of importance to Azerbaijan related to policymaking, planning and implementation, the financing of environmental policies and projects, and the integration of environmental concerns into economic sectors, in particular the sustainable management and protection of water resources and the protection of the Caspian Sea, waste management, air management, and forestry, biodiversity and protected areas.
