RT null T1 Methyl Parathion Health and Safety Guide - Health and Safety Guide 75 A1 United Nations Environment Programme, A1 World Health Organization, A1 International Labour Organisation, K1 health K1 health hazard K1 waste disposal K1 chemical SN 92 4 151075 7 YR 1992 FD 1992 LK https://wedocs.unep.org/handle/20.500.11822/29617 UL https://wedocs.unep.org/handle/20.500.11822/29617 NO Pure methyl parathion is crystalline and white. It is relatively insoluble in water, poorly soluble in petroleum ether and mineral oils, and readily soluble in most organic solvents. Methyl parathion is stable at pH 1-7, but undergoes rapid decomposition in alkaline media at pH 8-9. On heating, methyl parathion readily isomerizes to the 0,S-dimethyl analogue.
