NO This is the first of the annual state of the environment reports which, instead of covering a broad range of environmental issues, focuses on a limited number of environmental problems of international importance - in this instance, the ozone layer, environmental Cancers, land loss and soil degradation, and firewood. The Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme intends to prepare a report of this kind each year, with an analytical and comprehensive report every five years.
