NO As methane emissions continue to rise and detection capabilities expand worldwide, An Eye on Methane 2025: From measurement to momentum from UNEP's International Methane Emissions Observatory finds that governments and companies are making progress—but faster action is needed to achieve global climate goals. With the Methane Alert and Response System  now fully operational and high-quality, measurement-based reporting expanding through the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0, the data needed for swift action is in place. The report calls on all stakeholders to use 2025 as a turning point: to use data-driven tools, close the gap between detection and mitigation and ensure the pace of methane reductions matches global commitments.Full report is available at: https://wedocs.unep.org/handle/20.500.11822/48664
