NO This Environmental Health Criteria monograph on brominated diphenyl ethers has been prepared as part of an overview on the impact of a number of flame retardants on human health and the environment. The group of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) has been selected as a priority because of the recent interest in these substances. Only products based on penta-, octa-, and decabromodiphenyl ethers are of commercial interest.
