RT Report T1 Emissions Gap Report 2020 - Chapter 3 A1 United Nations Environment Programme, K1 greenhouse gas K1 climate change YR 2020 FD 2020 LK https://wedocs.unep.org/handle/20.500.11822/34429 UL https://wedocs.unep.org/handle/20.500.11822/34429 NO This chapter updates the assessment of the emissions gap for 2030. Consistent with previous Emissions Gap Reports, the emissions gap is defined as the difference between projected global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under full implementation of nationally determined contributions (NDCs) and emissions under leastcost pathways consistent with the Paris Agreement long-term goal of limiting global average temperature increase to well below 2oC and pursing efforts to limiting it to 1.5oC compared with pre-industrial levels (section 3.2). This chapter assesses up-to-date emissions scenarios that underlie the quantification of the emissions gap (section 3.3).Full report is available at: https://wedocs.unep.org/handle/20.500.11822/34426 NO https://www.unep.org/emissions-gap-report-2020 DS UN Environment Document Repository RD Sep 18, 2026
