NO Procurement processes can vary in complexity and duration depending on the type and value of goods, services and works required. It is important to understand the rules and principles governing procurement, the processes to follow and the roles and responsibilities involved. Doing so supports effective and timely procurement planning and execution, which is a key element of good Project Cycle Management (PCM) and Results-Based Management. In UNEP the Supply Chain Management Team is responsible for the organization’s procurement function and is a strategic partner in the delivery of projects.
