NO One of the most striking features of this collection of case studies is the diversity of environmental problems which have been targetted by these policy instruments, including air and water pollution, packaging, deforestation, overgrazing, and wildlife management. Clearly the scope for using market-based instruments for environmental purposes in these countries is very great-perhaps even more so than in developed countries.
