Final Report to UNEP: Reduction of Demand for Mercury in Mercury Containing Products in Bangladesh

This report summarises Reducing Demand of Mercury Containing Products in Bangladesh implemented under the United Nations Environment Programme Mercury in Products Partnership to reduce demand for mercury-added products and support implementation of the Minamata Convention on Mercury. The project assessed mercury-containing products, trade and waste management practices, conducted surveys and stakeholder consultations, and promoted mercury-free alternatives. Outputs included research reports, awareness activities, guidance on mercury waste management, and recommendations for regulatory measures and mercury phase-out.
