UNEP-ICCA Project “Promoting Chemical Safety Management in the African Region”: Training Workshop on Emergency Preparedness and Dangerous Goods Handling

The workshop is organized in various modules categorized under (i) handling of dangerous goods and (ii) emergency preparedness and response. The objectives of the workshop are: 1. To present and disseminate the results of the project “Promoting Chemical Safety Management in the African Region: activities in Tema Port”. 2. To train countries of the region, namely Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, and Niger on handling of dangerous goods and emergency preparedness/response. 3. To discuss country and sub-¬‐regional needs and initial identification of way forward for improved emergency preparedness and chemicals management in Tema Port and along relevant transport routes to other countries of the region.
