Background Note on Plenary Sessions of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Panel on Chemicals, Waste and Pollution

This background note provides clarification on draft rules concerning the venue, dates and notification of Plenary sessions and the agenda. It draws primarily on documents prepared for earlier sessions of the ad hoc open-ended working group and refers to existing procedures of selected science-policy bodies, particularly the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
