The document addresses ecosystem processes, environmental ethics and the integration of science, education and policy. It includes detailed chapters on marine and coastal ecosystems, land degradation, freshwater scarcity, biodiversity conservation, waste management and impacts of energy production. A large part of the document is dedicated to real case studies from different countries that illustrate both the problems and local solutions. It also presents tools such as environmental monitoring systems, data collection, legal frameworks and international conventions. With a strong focus on environmental education, particularly Sustainable Development Education, the document advocates for capacity building and community-oriented solutions.en
