Interim Evaluation of the UNEP/GCF Project REDD+ Results-based Payments in Paraguay for the period 2015-2017 (Paraguay + Verde Project) UNEP SB-OI 6313

This report is an Interim Evaluation of a UNEP/GCF project being implemented between 2020 and 2026. The project's overall development goal is to further reduce emissions from degradation and deforestation in Paraguay to meet NDC targeted emission reductions of 20% by 2030. The evaluation sought to assess project performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency) and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability. The evaluation has two primary purposes: (i) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements, and (ii) to promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UNEP, the GCF and the relevant agencies of the project participating countries.
