It acknowledges the pandemic’s compounded health, social, economic, and environmental impacts, reaffirms UNEP’s mandate as the leading global environmental authority, and welcomes UNEP’s Medium-Term Strategy 2022–2025 and Programme of Work and Budget 2022–2023. It commits to supporting a sustainable, inclusive recovery, advancing the 2030 Agenda, and strengthening progress under multilateral environmental processes, including the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement, the Convention on Biological Diversity and its post-2020 framework, the UNCCD, and chemicals and waste agendas. | en |
